RWE is a key player in the Italian renewables market. With our extensive experience we operate 15 onshore wind farms with a total installed capacity of approximately 500 megawatts, which can cover the annual demand of around 400,000 households. The commissioning of two new wind farms is scheduled for 2025.
RWE is involved in each step of the value chain, from the scouting of potential sites through to the dismantling or renewal of plants across the country. We pay special attention to the quality of our work throughout the process. We involve all stakeholders very early on in each development and always monitor local acceptance, environmental compensation and mitigations.
There are now more than 170 experienced RWE employees across RWE Renewables Italia S.r.l and RWE Wind Service Italia S.r.l., working both locally and globally.
